ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Dawn and Evan have been designing and handcrafting jewelry and wearable art in various mixed
media for over 18 years. Having started out doing very simple jewelry, they have
taken some classes and done lots of research. As their skills have evolved so has
the range of the materials and the techniques employed. They work in Glass,
Silver, Gold, Niobium, Titanium, Acrylics and more. Their work is varied
and their art continuously evolves with time. They are always on the lookout for
new materials and techniques. Dawn enjoys working in intricate, complex beaded bracelets and other objects on
one day and then knitting one of a kind clothing on another. Evan enjoys exploring the design and creation of
new jewelry items, but one of his passions is the development of new tools that enable other artists
to expand their own creativity. Evan has taught classes in jewelry design and construction and also
occasionally teaches classes in Anodizing Niobium for the jewelry programs at several local high
schools in their community. They have 3 children and currently reside in Illinois.
